SOMATIC PSYCHOTHERAPY
Somatic psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach which engages the wisdom of the body as a powerful guide in the path to healing and well-being. Somatic approaches are used to engage the relationship between mind, body, brain, and behavior.
As a modality of the creative arts therapies, Dance/movement therapy recognizes the correlation between movement and emotion. It is a holistic approach to healing, based on the empirically supported assertion that mind, body, and spirit are inseparable and interconnected; changes in the body reflect changes in the mind and vice versa.
ART
THERAPY
Art therapy combines both expressive arts and psychotherapy. It can be used for those who feel creatively inclined as a way of facilitating self exploration and growth, through a variety of mediums.

At times, it is difficult to articulate and express our thoughts and feelings solely through verbal language. Art therapy lends itself to the therapeutic process by adding a new form of communication to the mix.

Art therapy is effective for people of any age and with any level of art experience.
PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychotherapy is a more traditional way of treating mental health problems in the form of talk therapy. There are many theories and approaches to psychotherapy, but most include creating space to talk openly and confidentially in a non-judgmental environment.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative way to treat particular thoughts or behaviours that may be getting in the way or creating a problem for you, or a form of emotional support during difficult times.
